Metering problem - M7ii + 65mm

I'm thinking of buying a used Mamiya 7ii from someone locally.

Unfortunately the metering lights don't seem to work with the 65mm lens (it's ok with other lenses apparently).

Has this happened to anyone else? Any idea what might cause it?

Maybe the contacts between lens and camera? I'd try cleaning them with a pencil eraser, see if that helps.
