METZ 34 CS-2 with MP240 ?

Sorry if this has been asked before , I have been searching and didn’t see the info I am looking for.
I got a METZ 34 CS-2 flash for a reasonable price, it is not the digital model however. Will it harm my MP 240 ?
I don’t want to risk voltage issues

If you aren't sure, measure the voltage across the trigger terminals with a voltmeter. A modern meter will give a reasonably accurate reading - if it's more than a few volts I would not risk it. If the flash unit is an old model, you could expect hundreds of volts on the contacts and if it's a modern unit it's more likely to be in the few-to-ten volts or so range.

Cameras built in the earlier days of electronic flash tend to be designed to cope with higher voltage triggering but most modern cameras aren't. In the absence of clear documentation or actual measurements, it's just not worth the risk on an expensive camera.

I have used film era flashes on M-E. Those with dial for ISO and distance with their own meter works better than Meitz made for Leica.
