Earlier this month I took my girlfriend (now fiancee) for a week in a small village about an hour from Puerto Vallarta. We lived each day on about $20 USD combined and had the vacation of our lives.
She was content with her RX100; I had my Galaxy SIII smartphone, Rolleiflex, and M4. I ended up splitting most of my shots between the cameraphone and Rollei. While waiting for the film developing and scanning, I decided to take the opportunity to share some of my cameraphone photos, silly Flickr filters and all. Here they are!

Thanks! It's San Pancho, the next town up the coast from Sayulita. About a ten minute drive. Great little town of 3,000, very quaint and cozy.

I think they call it S. Pancho, but its real name is San Francisco. Is that right? I haven't been to PV for a couple of years, and I'm dying to return. Non stop flight out of SFO is great. This is the time of year I go but too many things that I don't want to do happening right now. I can't tell you how much I like taking pictures around there.

Yep, the official name is San Francisco, but it says San Pancho everywhere. The sound of roosters and trucks peddling gas in the morning, surf heard down the main street all the way at the other side of town around sunset, and clamor of locals and gringos mixing in the streets at night - the town had an undeniable charm.
We took the nonstop flight out of SFO and were shocked by how quickly we arrived. And I believe you; the area practically begs for slide film. So much to see.

Hey, tell us where you were? Looks great. I just, against my wishes, booked a trip to Phoenix, Arizona. What a disappointing way to spend money, I could be where you are/were. Was this still San Pancho?

I noticed your fiancé seems to be Gogol B fan (wearing the t-shirt)! They're a mighty sweet band…nice photos btw!

Yup, those were all in San Pancho. Think you might get some time out of the city during your trip? Plenty of interesting landscapes out there...and thanks, budajoe69!
