Microphen shelf life ?

Hello. What in your opinion is the shelf life of that developer ? I know ilford says 6 months. I have one bottle, mixed January - is it still good ? Used it to develop two rolls of delta 3200 and left it ever since. Now that i have some delta 3200 again would it be still good ? I use it straight, no mixing 1+1 or 1+3, so it's still the full solution. It's still clear, but have some black things on the bottom of the bottle, guess some chemical reaction.

Provided the bottle was filled to the neck it is probably fine. It's a good idea to filter out any sediment and before developing your next films. Also suggest you do a clip-test by developing and fixing part of the film leader (which you'll cut off anyway when you load the film onto a spiral). This should be black or nearly black when it's been fixed and proves the developer has not oxidised.

Developer don`t just give out. 6 months is same quality as day 1. After that activity level drops, slowly at first, then faster.

In a full or almost full bottle Microphen of 6 months will be still OK. After 6 months the activity will slowly going down. Some sediments you can filter out. For maximum speed enhancing use Microphen in a 1+0 dilution. Best way in a one shot, the rest you can put in a smaller (full) bottle.
