I just picked up a Microtek 120tf to scan 6x6 BW negs. I'm using Vuescan on a Mac and getting decent results with a modified AN carrier. The only problem I'm having is getting the scans wide enough to capture any of the film edge. It seems to be locked into 60mm max. Has anyone with this scanner been able to get a broader scan, spocket holes and everything?

Microtek 120tf can't scan the entire width of 120 film. I can get about two mm at each side of my 120 film, but not much more. This might vary a bit depending on the MF camera used.

Thanks... that's been my experience as well.

If you go to the Crop tab and set the Preview Area to Maximum that's the most you'll get from it.

Yes, that's what I've been doing. I wish it could scan a little more on each side but otherwise I have no real complaints. The scans are noticeably better than my epson 750.
