I had a non-zoom minilux for a couple of years, never had a serious problem..
Only once did the lens cap not close when powering off. This was fairly soon after I bought it new. Had to switch it on/off a couple of times, and then it suddenly remembered where it had to go. Never occured again. So all in all, one minor glitch..
I had one which died after about 2 years. They're a great camera, if you don't mind having to potentially repair it in a few years I'd say go for it. I loved mine but replaced it with a CM. My wife was using it when it died and she eventually got a 35Ti instead.
I asked my camera repair man about this issue. He said that he couldn't fix it. "We sent all of them to Leica Germany. This error is probably caused by a hit"... Can anyone relate this error to a certain incident??? Still haven't bought it. It's getting on my nerves.
I had a minilux. Very very nice lens for a p&s. The auto focus, however, was abysmal. It wouldn't focus on anything close to a flat plane. Really awful. I got rid of mine.
