Camera/lens/beach - minimalist?

There's a lot of "hipster" minimalist photographs out there. I don't consider mine to be, because I think those photographs are framed in a very specific way.

I like photographing people...so a minimalist version would be...a head dead right in the middle of the photograph, and a huge plain solid colour background...haha!
