Hi all

I have just acquired an M6. It is a Wetzlar Leitz version, but a later one with the rubber eyepiece etc. My question: when I mount my 35 'cron or my 75 'lux to the MP, i turn the focus dial and the image in the rangefinder moves throughout the entire travel of the focus ring. this is fairly normal. i have .85 M6 aswell and it behaves the same as my MP. However, when i mount either of these lenses to my Wetzlar M6, the focus ring moves slightly before the rangefinder image moves. This behaviour is similar to that of my M3 (which of course has the 1 meter min. focus). Is the min. focus distance on the M6 different to that of later M6's (my .85 was the last of the M6's before the TTL)?

If I keep turning the ring after the split stops converging, and go all the way to .7 on the lens, the image is out of focus. Perhaps the rangefinder roller thing on the camera is shagged?

Thanks for any help

I thought as much Joe. I can also here a slight clicking noise when i turn the focus ring at that .7 to .8 range. something must be out of whack.
