I purchased a Minolta Auto Meter IV recently. It came with the manual and 10 degree spot attachment. Everything seems to be in order. However, I had to adjust the Auto Meter IV to +.8 EV (full left) to make it match my Weston Master V and Gossen Luna-Pro. Does this seem right? Do you think the Minolta meter needs professional calibration to make it match my other meters when set at Zero?

What is the consensus opinion of this meter? I have mixed feelings about it. It operates in shutter priority only. I guess that's ok, but I would like aperture priority as well. I'm almost tempted to sell it and go hunting for a Gossen Luna Star. If the Luna Star has aperture priority. What say ye?

I've had a Autometer IV for years and it's always been dead on. Call me a cynic but I'd never buy a second hand meter because I guess that the only reason you'd sell a light meter would be that it wasn't accurate:(
