I have a Minolta Diamage Scan Multi SCSI and would like to connect and use it with a Mac Pro tower V1 2006 I recently purchased. I will be loading OSX Lion on it and am wondering which drivers I can download to get this thing going. I see there are alot of off brand fixes and would like to find something. I have a lot of medium format film that needs scanning. I have a Mac compatible SCSI card that ran fine on both PC and my older G4 tower. Any thoughts?

Have you looked at the supported scanner list for Vuescan and Silverfast?
Vuecan could be straightforward if the scanner is on their list, as would Silverfast.
If Vuescan does not offer a driver, and Silverfast does, then you have to download the Silverfast trial version and run it once. This will install a driver that OS X loads for Vuescan. supports.
This is how I and other OS X users run their Plustek OpticFilm scanners using Vuescan.

Do you mean the scan multipro?

Haven't use Minolta with Mac with OEM software, but it should be fine with Vuescan. But for a 06 Mac, the OEM software should do.
Hardware wise, I'm not sure, hope guys below could answer you.
FYI, the OEM driver can be modified to use on Win7 and Win8.

Load the scanner software before moving to Lion.
I run MK software under Mavericks which was loaded under mountain lion on a Mac Pro. I can perhaps send it to you with "you send it" or send a CD. It is for a 5400, however I think it is all the same. MK software works better than Silverfast or Vue Scan in my opinion. I spent days trying to make it work before I found the last version of KM on line which I am sure is no longer up.
Another possibility is for you to send me a new HD and I will clone the entire OS system onto it. Then use the original for time machine and you are out nothing. My bay 2 disk is partitioned the take OS and programs on 5% an the other 90 is used for Time Machine. It is a 2012 Pro and it may not work however I do have a 27" iMac with 10.6.8 OS and it has KM scanner software on it. It is the same KM a on the Mac Pro.
I will just warn you things are not always backward compatible.
you decide.

G4 Tower solution
G4 Tower solution
I have a G4 dual 1ghz tower running on OS 10.4.11 and an Adaptec SCSI card installed. Instead of using my Mac Pro, I decided maybe it would be easier to use the old G4 as a scanning PC only. What I need is the drivers and software that will run my damage Scan Multi on my G4 tower with 10.4.11. Anyone know where I can download something, especially for free? Any help would be great! I will stare a thread on my G4 and Minolta scanner for additional help. Thank you everyone!

I have the Scan Dual III. It works fine on a similar vintage iMac with VueScan running on Lion.

Forget about using scsi on a macpro, or even a G5, unless you use a scsi to firewire adapter, but even then....
The Belkin I have is not working properly. Ratoc seems to be better.
Just stick to the G4.
If you ever get it working on a newer Mac, let me know.

I have a Scan Multi and use it with Vuescan. I'm on a Mac Pro 2.66 Quad running 10.9.5. It works fine with a Ratox FR1SX SCSI to Firewire adapter. The only thing to remember is to turn the scanner on before launching Vuescan. In fact, I think I needed to restart the computer with the scanner turned on to get it to recognize the scanner.
