Minolta Dual Scan IV & Windows & drivers

I just got a new computer with Windows 7 and cannot get my DS to work. Everything installs correctly. W7 device manager shows it is installed, but no drivers. Everything I try, the drivers remain invisible to Windows.

In a recent (last week) thread some forum members reported DS IV worked fine with W7. Can you tell me the secret?

In a word, Vuescan. Vuescan has it's own drivers and works great with the DualScan. I don't know of another solution, but since I have used Vuescan for years and it worked fine with Windows 7 so I did not really look at other options.
