Minolta Hi-Matic 7s

I inherited a Hi-Matic 7s from my dad who passed away a few months ago. The shutter does not work though. I also have a Hi-Matic 7 and a Hi-Matic 9. The 7 is the model before the 7s and the 9 is the model after the 7s.

I have taken one roll with each, and I was real impressed with the results, especially since I had never used a RF before... I think the 9 needs a light seal done though (I have the kit from interslice (Jon)).
I got both Hi-Matics on ebay for $10 each + shipping...

oh, I'm new, so hi !

I'm currently shooting a roll through a Hi-Matic 7S (along with several other cameras) and so far I really like the feel of the 7S. If the lens performs similarly to the lens on my Minolta AL, I'll be most impressed as that's a camera that puts many others to shame. I have to say though, that the F. Zuiko on my Oly 35DC is also an unbelievably good lens, and a pretty close match to the Rokkor f/2 on my AL, but the overall feel of the AL is much nicer than the 35DC or RD for that matter. Back to the topic, I have great expectations of the 7S and based on its handling so far, I think it'll get a lot of use. The fully automatic mode is great as is the ability to use it in full manual mode; it really is a full-featured camera. Hopefully I'll have great news to report once the film is developed.
