Minolta Hi Matic 9 Film Loading

hi, would someone with this camera take a look at it and see in which directions the film sprocket(1) and the takeup spool(2) turn?

i always thought they turn in opposite directions as illustrated by the red arrows, so that the film would go over the sprocket(1), then under the takeup spool(2).

but mine turn in the same direction as illustrated by the blue arrows, so there is no way of doing this over/under thing. film wound this way is not secure.

am i loading it in the wrong way? tks for all your kind help!

It is secure. Look closely - there are hooks to grab the film sprockets on the takeup reel itself. They show which direction the reel turns, they could not engage the film sprockets any other way. Once you have a full revolution on the reel, it will be held on securely. I have never had any trouble with mine.
