Minolta Hi-Matic F

Has anyone used this camera? What do you think about it? Ive heard that the batteries for it arent available anymore, but its possible to make an adapter.
Im looking for a camera that i can keep in my pocket. Digital compacts are too slow and SLR's are too big and i could get that Minolta for $23. But i dont know if its worth it.

Hi, I've got a Minolta Hi-Matic F that works perfectly. The photos are great and it's a nice compact camera. I'm using it with two PX625A batteries and two adapters (two round metal pieces probably made of some alloy, they looks like bronze/copper in color).

The camera produces great results. Here is one of the photos I scanned from it (Ilford PanF 50). I've used it with film ranging from ISO 50 to 400 and never had any problems. 🙂

It has automatic metering, right? So no aperture priority?

It is all automatic as respects shutter speed & aperture setting. The 640A batteries are still very much available. Depending on where you live, plan on spending about $4 on each one (you need 2). They will last about 2 years under normal use. Nice camera.
