Minolta Maxxum 5D CF pins bent?

My Minolta Maxxum 5D will no longer accept CF cards. The CF card will not insert completely and the door won't close completely, so the camera is useless right now.
I've peeked down inside the CF slot with a small flash light and I can't determine which pin is bent, which is most likely the problem.

Before I send the camera out for repair (very $$$), I was curious if there is any do-it-yourself solution to the probelm. How can the CF slot be easily accessed?

I can't help you, however, consider picking up another copy as it might be chaeper then repairing this one. Or pick up an A100, a improved 5D 😎

Have you tried another CF card to see if that is the problem?
