Just got a Novoflex MD to NEX adapter and am having a blast with my old Rokkors. MC 300 f/5.6, 1.5X crop factor and then the cropability of 24MP NEX7 files gave me some incredibly detaiiled shots of the "supermoon" last month.

MC 85 f/1.7 makes a fantastic long-portrait/bokeh cream-machine for not a lot of $$.

Ancient 58 f/1.4 flares easily, but looks terrific in B&W wide-open for head and shoulder portraits or full body portraits.

haven't tried the wides, but on film the 24 f/2.8 (55mm filter thread versions) was so good that Leica rebranded it as Elmarit-R. I have the Sony Zeiss 24E, so haven't played with this one yet.

I actually sold my Leica R kit when I found out how good and how cheap these old manual Minoltas are.

They're nice, aren't they?
Got a MD 28/2.8, MD 35/2.8, MD 50/1.7, MC 50/1.4, MD 85/2 and MC 135/3.5. Lovely stuff. Just to share a picture:

Same here. I sold my entire Canon RF collection of bodies and lenses, when I rediscovered MF SLR Minolta. This is the camera I started with forty years ago, so I have come full circle. You are right about the Rokkor MC lenses, they are terrific. I use them with 35mm film and also on my two Nex bodies. I have the entire range of Rokkor lenses, from the 16mm MC Fisheye, to the 400mm F5.6 ED Rokkor-X.

Yep, those Rokkors are little gems, some of them at least.
Nevertheless, I have sold most of my Rokkors during my "get-rid-of-stuff"-period.
I have only kept the Rokkor 2/28. What a lens!
I always say that's the "Summicron-R 2/28" that Leica never built!
