Drunk the RF Kool Aid
I've run across a VERY good deal on a Multi 2 SCSI.... very cheap and apparently pristine. However, its SCSI and I can't seem to find conclusive data on whether it'll run in OS X 10.6

SCSI won't work on 10.6. I was having the same problem with 10.5 and it was driving me nuts. found out that 10.3 was last OS to support SCSI. I solved this by putting in another drive w 10.3 and boot from that drive when I wanted to scan. I should mention that this is a Mirrored Door G4 tower, so I am not sure how this will work on an intel chip. If you don't have one already can you even get a SCSI card for an intel chip Mac?

Are you talking about the scanner? I have a Multi II that I love using and it's operational with 10.6 via SCSI > firewire via this adaptor: http://www.rexpccard.co.jp/english/products/FR1SX.html

Never saw that before, me likes!!! Honestly I hate using my G4, it is so slow and takes up more room than I care for.
