I took out my 28mm Rokkor lens last weekend, and I used it on Bessa T with Fujicolor 100 film. here are some of the results taken in the historic district of Pensacola (Florida) as we spent some time together as a family. The lens is rather small and light and I like it. I am trying to load up images here, but the file sizes are too large. I will upload them somewhere else and place a link here.

There is a tiny probability that the photos were taken with the Fuji Natura. I used three wide angle lenses that day (Canon 28mm/3.5, Minolta 28mm/2.8, and Fuji 24mm/1.9). Sorry for this confusion. The vignetting makes me suspect the Natura, but I cannot recall using the Natura that day for these specific photos.

The B&W photos are from the Canon 28mm/3.5 taken in the same outing with XP2 film in the Leica Standard.

For comparison purposes I am adding a link to photos taken with the Fuji Natura P&S camera. I just got back the scans.

I turned off the flash and used the camera handheld in dim light with Fujicolor 200 film. The results are not bad at all, don't you think so?

Your comments are very welcome. These are just family photos and snapshots from my walks downtown. I continuously test my lenses by taking many photos and then inspecting them for a signature of some sort.

I find I do the same thing. 🙂

The "flashless" Fuji does look good!

The Canon looks nice too. I've got a 35/2.8, which *seems* to have a similar look. I've not shot more than a couple of rolls with it, though.

I'm curious about the 28 Rokkor. I've not seen a lot of images produced using it. If those are indeed Rokkor shots then it has some pop to it.

I am expecting a Canon 35mm/2.8 in the mail, and I have heard good things about its look. Try your lens out.

The Rokkor has a pop to it, but I am concerned about the vignetting in some of the photos. I wish some people who own such a lens could comment on this feature of the lens.

The Fuji Natura seems to be made to be used without a flash. The results are far more pleasing than photos taken with flash.

I have the 28mm in the MD mount and love it. I use either an X370 or X700 with and love the images. I don't know if they are the same formula, but great glass none the less.

Richard: Whether they have the same optical formula I don't know. Mine is a rangefinder lens and yours the SLR version. I bet that both are fine performers.
