I've been searching for some information on this lens, but it's not that easy to come by.
Do any of you have recommendations or thoughts regarding this lens (I'm going to use it on an M3). I'm looking into buying a 90mm, but the Leica's are out of reach much of the time.
Also, when I have your attention, can someone give me information on where I can find complete lists or serial numbers and corresponding Leica lens-versions (specifically the 90mm's)? I've read that the first version of the elmarit's are better than the ladder ones but I don't know which serial numbers that correspond to.

Thank you!
/Daniel

Daniel, I used a friend's Elmar-C in the early 1970s and have always thought that the Rokkor 90 is essentially the same. I am not certain, though. In that focal length you may get an Elmar for a good price. If you include 85mm, there are non-Leitz options such as Canon and Nikon.
