Not a bad little SLR. Seems to be quite durable. Bought it yesterday at a Thrift store with 50f1.7 (and Tamron 70-210 zoom and flash) for $25. It is my new daily carry to work camera that I can toss into a briefcase and not have to worry/think about. Lots of talk here about Nikon and Olympus, but is there any love for Minolta SLR?
Rokkors are great Frank, and cheap.

One of the best MF Minoltas from the later Xseries Frank - the meter works better in manual mode than the X700.
Seen this great site ? http://www.rokkorfiles.com/
and I like this description of the great Minolta glass vis a vis Leitz and Zeiss
