Hello everyone
, I have an XG-2 that worked well but now have these problems:
In auto, indicator only lights the down pointing led and fixed shooter speed about 1/60
In manual any speed selection is the same as mentioned, shoots about 1/60
B works flawlessly, both wit the button and the cable
What can it be? I have read the repair manual but cant figure why is behaving like this
Is it because of the capacitors? many threads in the old forum only mentioned that the shot delayed several seconds before release if it released at all, mine releases but at a fixed speed
Previosly, when doing maintenance, I removed the spring returning ring that indicate diaphragm opening. Also cleaned the contacts of the well for speed selection and ASA
I´m very confused
Thanks in advance for the help

Is 1/60 the flash sync speed? Could the camera be somehow believing a flash is attached? Maybe check if the the flash contacts are shorted.
Only the down pointing LED lighting up is also something that happens when the ring resistor for the aperture has issues (I only have experience with the XD-7, but maybe it applies here, too). You say you cleaned it, but did you also make sure the wire brushes that make contact on it aren't bent in such a way they can short circuit or lose contact?

I don't know the sync flash speed, I will check the contacts

When you say the resistor for the aperture, you are referring to the one behind the lens mount? or the one under the selector wheel where the shutter button is?
Thanks for the reply
