Dear all,

just purchased a Minox 35 GT without battery. Appearently there are basically two kinds of batteries sold on evil bay for this camera:

PX 27 with 5.6 Volt (correct according to manual but harder to get)
PX 27 A with 6 Volt (easier to get, at least in Germany/Austria)

So my question is: Will the electronics work fine with 6 Volt also? Any experience with this?

Thanks a lot, Arthur

PS: If anyone knows a store in Vienna, Austria, selling these batteries that would be even better ;)

I use the adaptor with the diode in to give 5.6v on load.

FYI as far as I can tell there are separate circuits for the shutter and the meter in the VF, and my shutter runs 2 stops faster than the indicated speed, I just set 400 film at 100 and ignore the needle

Thanks for the info! I've found a number of sources on the web saying that the 6V version should be OK. So I've found a shop in Vienna selling these old beasts and everything seems to work fine. Of course I'll have to wait for the pictures ...
