I just spotted this on the big auction site, a Minox miniature camera styled after the Nikon SP:

And they have one based on the Nikon F as well:

As much as I love the look of classic camera equipment and understand and even encourage the current hype of modern equipment styled after older classic designs (cameras, cars, motorcycles etc.), would anyone on this forum care to own an "SP" Minox? It looks nice from the front (well, kind of), but from the back and top not so. Not exactly cheap either, 279.95 USD is a nice entry ticket into the real thing.

Weird - the only 'lookalike' Minoxes I saw are miniature Leica IIIs with digital innards. Those Leica/Minoxes contain a 5MPix digital camera and an LCD monitor at the back. Strange things, the way these fully functional cameras look like toy models ...

IMHO the F is lacking front back and top.

I would have prefered 5MP digital without the back. Real film Minox is cute but a PITA.

I would rather own a real SP. I've played with the Minox M3 (?) and the camera was rather awkward in design.
