Free usually means worth what you paid for it, but I wanted to pass this along. Just discovered it, and I think others might like it too.
It is called Miro TV, formerly known as Democracy TV. It's an application for Windows, Mac, and Linux that provides free television programming. Very easy to set up and use, and I believe you can also use it from a web browser. I'm a Linux user, so that's all I know about at the moment, and I'm still exploring it.

There are also tutorials in various tools in German and Italian, and others I suppose. There's a lot there. All free, to the best of my knowledge. Useful? Well, that's up to you. I'm just passing on the info.
