Mitsubishi Color Film?

Mitsubishi, of course 🙂

Mitsubishi is an old established Japanese firm whose products range from paper to heavy machinery. Photoproducts include many types of photopaper (including the "Gekko"), colour film, colour processing chemistry, and colour RA4 paper. Their colour negative film is often sold under store brands.

I used some in 1999-2000. It was made by Konica.

It's ok, nothing special but the price.

I'm sure there was a thread about this before - or is it deja-vu?

Konica and Mitsubishi films are as different as Kodak is from Fuji. Mitsubishi make Mitsubishi film.

The cheapest budget (redudancy intended 🙂) films here were made by Konica and Mitsubishi. Respooled Konica -probably the last of them since Konica quit making films already- is sold under the Konica name and packaged similarly to Konica sold in eastern Europe. Budget Mitsubishi is sold under the distributor's label here and is quite popular with park photographers (those who shoot snaps in public places for about US$1.00).

Mitsubishi film is quite decent. Assuming it's processed correctly, and printed right, it can deliver good results. It's usually the printing stage which tends to cloud things up. Enclosed is a scan from a Mitsubishi ISO 200 colour negative film.
