Thanks to Andrea Taurisano for sharing his book,
The Japan Book

Enjoyed his book so much it pushed me to finally give Blurb a try with some images from my last trip to Japan . Been wanting to do this for quite some time ,just never got around to it .
After about three weeks my book finally arrived.
Very happy with the results

Leica M8.2 ,21 SA, 35 summaron ,50 Summilux

Here is a link to the book if you would like to check it out

Thanks

Isn't it satisfying to see a complete set in your own photos in a book?

But separately, you have a very good eye for beautiful compositions.

Is the bride and groom going to receive a copy of the book?
That would be a wonderful memento.

Thanks Harry ..

Will ,
It is satisfying seeing a set of your own images in a book , I especially enjoyed the process of editing down the images and putting them in a sequence for the book .

I would like to get a copy to the bride and groom but it may be difficult as I do not know who they are and not sure if the hotel will give me their contact info but will try .

Thank you for you having a look at the book and for your comments . I had a look at your work , I especially liked "Seeing Things"
Aloha ,
Charles

Another nice book. I will add it to my list of self published books I need to add to my collection. I quite like the full frame prints.

I do want to say though that it would be nice if there were some sort of introduction to help us westerners get an idea of what is happening.

Superb series. Could you share any comments about your post processing technique.

I used Lightroom and NIK silver efex pro ... Started with one of the "Film Noir" presets and tweaked it from there .. It worked out well considering the high iso setting of the camera .... glad you liked the images ,thanks

The idea was to see how the these images would turn out in a book from Blurb ,never thought to write anything ... there defiantly should be an introduction of sorts .I plan on doing one and re submitting the book .
Thanks for the suggestion and comments .... also I'll post a description in this thread as to what is going on .

A bit of the back story:
I met a photographer in Japan who shoots weddings and studio portraits .. my wife's friends dad . On hearing I liked to take photographs he asked if I would like to come along and photograph a wedding . He was interested to see what sort of images I would turn out . I had complete access and was allowed to do my own thing ,which was open to interpretation ,took a a little to shake one of the second shooters who felt he needed to shadow me .. for the most part he gave up and went and did his job while I hung out in the dressing rooms ... I had no idea who anyone was to each other and had to work it out as the day went on .... I had a great time and I think the wedding party did too ... there were a few "who is this guy " moments .

It was a long day , of which the hardest part was wearing a suit and the shoes ..... had a blast using the M8.2 ,it was perfect .. there was no pressure to produce any images for the bride and groom so that helped .

That's a wonderful story.

Definitely re-publish the book with the story.
That's one of the neat thing about self-publishing venues, you can re-upload edited versions without incurring extra costs.
