I just bought an iPad 2, the camera connection kit and the Snapseed app by Nik Software (Silver Efex). In combination with my NEX-3 and 16mm pancake, I took some shots downtown today, processed the RAW in Snapseed (crop, b/w conversion, a little grain, brightness and contrast) on the iPad and uploaded to Flickr via WiFi.
Much better than I expected - it is really useful to able to review and touch up images on the move.
Sony NEX-3, 16mm f6.3, 1/125 sec., ISO 3200

Enjoy Life.
I just grabbed Snapseed and I look forward to giving it a try. Outstanding image by the way, it made me chuckle.

Thanks, it is quite a contrast in business activity, isn't it? Guess this demonstrates their relative profit margins. Let us know how you get on with it. I found the interface very usable for quite a complex task.

Well-known
How fast is the raw processing? Using photoraw on ipad1 to process more than 1 image at a time is painful.

It is not designed for batch processing, just one at a time, but it is quick enough for my needs.

This would be great since I'm considering getting an iPad 2 and the camera connection kit... does it support NEF files from the Nikon D700?

I think it depends on the support of iOS. Check on the Apple web site.
