I would like to put my folders in (small) modern cases/bags while carrying them with me. Unfortunaltly it seems to me that most cases/bags don't suit the dimensoions of slim foldes well.

Do you have some experiences regarding this question?

A small waist pack works pretty well for me. Also, some of the cases for small digital point and shot outfits ought to be about the right size.

Thomas,
Check the Zing pouches. I use the Large pouch for storage and to carry my folders in my backpack. They also make the Multi-Strap case which fits most folders and allows you to carry a camera over your shoulder and keep it protected. They're cheap too !!

I use a little case made for a miniDV camera outfit. It looks like a shrunken 35mm outfit bag, and hold a 6x9 folder, my LunaPro sbc and accessory, and a buncha film. Can be strap carried or worn on a belt, the latter if you don't mind looking like a strange old man.

I use messenger style bags for the most part. I´ve got a 120 folder more or less solely to fit in one of the slimmer versions I use to and fro work. The bag is just large enough for a 14" laptop, two photo rags, one 120/6x6 folder, one light meter and a scarf and gloves (winter here)

I mentioned a small waist pack. Thought I would post a picture.

The pack will take the camera, the case with the lenshood and a couple of filters or a small flash or a light meter. The front pocket will hold 4 rolls of film.

I bought that leather one at a swap meet some years back, but there are all kinds of them from leather ones like that to nylon ones. They tend to be inexpensive too.

I am currently using a billingham L2 (alice) for my makina 67 and it works perfectly. Plenty of room for film, incedent meter, filters, ect. Not too big, not too small.

Most 6x6 folders should fit in a pocket or other bag you are already carrying. I usually have one in my camera bag with my Kiev or my 167mt. When it is all I want to carry, then I can use any small bag for the camera, light meter, and film. But usually just pockets in a parka in this weather.

If a 9x12 folder, then it requires something larger. Often it will be a bag originally meant for something else (also useful for smaller folders). Small lunch bags or those small bags put out for advertisement, such as your favorite beer. I find them quite handy.
