modern lenses for vintage Canon bodies

I have a vintage Canon camera ( Screw mount) and would like suggestions for a 35mm and a 50mm lens that are new designs to use with the body.

voigtlander's excellent line of LTMs, no question. i loved my 35 2.5 color-skopar.

I agree with bgetty, Voigtlander LTMs are great.
I have the 15 super-wide Heliar, the 21 and 35mm color Skopar, love them: compact, sharp and great looking.

Plus one for the CV lenses....cannot beat them for twice the price.

The CV 50/2.5 Skopar would be sweet on a vintage LTM body, if you can find one for sale. And it's made with that classic chrome (or black paint) over brass construction.

If you have money to spend, and the good luck to find one, the Konica UC-Hexanon 35/2 is wonderful lens.

The 2.5/35mm and 2.5/50mm are compact, well-built and real sharp. But you would need to acquire them elsewhere, they are both sold out...


Ari, the UC-Hex is the one lens that I would consider letting go of my precious W-Nikkor for!

Another + 1 for CV screw mount lenses. I use the Skopar 50/2.5 lens all the time on my Canon IVSB2. Ditto the outstanding little Skopar 28/3.5.
