Happy birthday to your Mom!

You have a nice looking family!

But... when did tamales and tortillas become Southern food? For us it is, but I live in Southern California (AKA, North Mexico). I was expecting to see fried chicken, boiled peanuts, fried okara and corn bread.

Nice, nice family photos... I especially like that first one (your mom and sister) -- nice, warm and cozy indoor shot away from all that cold white stuff outside.

Rick, that would be what was left of a 9-inch snow earlier in the week in southern middle tennessee. we even got an inch or so where we live in alabama, and it got thicker all the way through tennesse and then on up to new england.

Congrats to your mother on her eightieth Paul ... great pics.

I went to an eightieth myself last Monday. Carol's father has had some real health issues over the last year and has gone from a fairly robust seventy nine year old to a rather frail eighty year old in a year. It was nice to get some pics of him for the family and with the family as he seems to be giving up the fight a little currently.

Lovely photos, Paul, and a lovely family. They all look happy with each other.

We can blame fast food chains like Taco Bell for the menu I guess, it's the same here in Texas.
