All i got is a fog i can't see the tip of my nose.

I had IIIa & Telyt ready and waiting, and got nothing but fog (not the sort when you accidentally open a camera with a film in it).

I'm not an astrophotographer but chanced on it this morning taking out the trash. I ran back to the house and grabbed my half frame Pen F loaded with a 400 ISO B&W and mounted my longest lens, a Tamron 135 f2.5 Adaptall with it's dedicated 2X, that gave me a 270mm f5 which should result a moon diameter on film of 2.5 mm.
I'll snip off those 10 exposures and see what I captured, if anything, this morning.
I was just curious if someone on RFF who was more prepared got the shot.
I live in south Puget Sound, Washington so it's rare this time of year to have a clear sky.

Crystal clear sky here; I did notice a crescent moon this morning when I first got up. Didn't realize there was a celestial even happening. But with a temperature of 20 below zero (F), I wasn't too keen on going outside much anyway!

Okay, I just looked at the dried neg strip. Looks like I got something, exposure was based on the idea the moon is a sunlit object so I started at f5 and 1/500 for ISO 400 knowing that, a. A well worn Pen F shutter @ 1/500 is probably closer to 1/300
and, b. This film is carelessly stored and 9 years past exp. date.
Then, just started to stop down, 2 exposures at each stop.
HC-110 1:60 at 20C, go make oatmeal for the missus, sit down with coffee, finally remember film 20 minutes later. I'm easily distracted.

This is fabulous to read that it was only Venus & the moon. I have a friend on Facebook that makes a conspiracy out of everything in life that took photos of it this morning & well...I’m still waiting to read his explanation. 😱

Thursday morning, clear in NH, Moon, Venus, and ?? Mars? No, it was Jupiter. Excellent show! But, no photo.
