Here are some from the mid 70s. On this first one, and a few of the others, I remember that I was carrying my camera around my neck, with a release cord in my pocket...

I liked the patterns in his coat and the fence, and the pride he had in his tractor -

Finally, a very random day at the shore. It's great fun to go through these old negs...

The cocktail party shots are great.

Some of the people look like celebrities; David Niven and Peter Fonda for starters.

tomtofa, glad to have someone else joining the fray.
you've got some great images here. I especially like the first one (if you've seen a self-portrait of me, you'll figure out why pretty quickly). nifty trick with the cable release in the pocket.
I hope you post some more work. Start another thread when you move to a different decade.
Here's hint on why I like that first image...
is this guy a relative of mine? I know we shop at the same haberdasher, as he's wearing the same Stetson Open Road hat favored by me, Harry Truman, LBJ, etc.

Thanks, Rob. You've started a whole new genre here.
I can see the resemblance to the 1st pic - did your grandfather (great grandfather?) go missing 35 years ago?... Actually, I got to know him a bit afterwards. He was a local 'character' who was in reality an interesting man living on very constrained means. Thus his tension as he weighed his produce: could he afford the amount he needed.

Where was that shot taken (what city, I mean; obviously, I know a supermarket when I see one
)?
