My point is that all browsers issue updates. The idea that a patch is a bad thing is rooted in ignorance.

It's been a long time since I used Firefox, but, presumably, most of the updates are security patches, which is a Good Thing. You want the people who coded your browser to respond quickly to new security threats. Most other changes should be held for actual releases.

I agree, though, that the actual way Firefox announces and performs its updates is annoying.
