Hello,
i felt in love with the Voigtländer Vito BR. I like the simplicity, all i need is included, not more, wich is important for me.
At the Moment i just own a Voigtländer Vito B high top, the Viewfinder is the best i ever saw and the camera is very well build.
Iam wondering if there are more cameras like the Vito BR. Rangefinder, Lens between 40 and 50mm, mechanical, no automatic, no batteries, NO lightmeter. Since i just use one Lens it can be a Fixed Lens but it can be a interchangeable too, i dont care.
My Main Camera is the Linhof Super Technika V and in the end i will make the picture therewith. The Vito BR or a similar camera would be my "picture-finding"-camera. I try to have a similar work flow with each camera, i will lightmeter with a spot meter with both cameras.
If there is no other camera with same features. I would be interested in more scale focus cameras like the Vito B (i would put an rangefinder on top), but maybe i have to go therefor in another subforum.
Other Cameras i could be interested in are the Voigtländer Prominent II (the Ultron should be better then the Color-Skopar or?), Zeiss Ikon Contina Ic, Agfa Super Silette and Kodak Retinette II. But i think the Vito BR fits best for my needs so far.
What do you think? Got any input for me? Thanks in advance.
Anyway i like this forum very much and i think such Forums make a good job to keep analogue photography alive!!!
best regards,

I have & love a voigtlander vitessa - the folding style. Mine is a Color-Skopar 50/3.5 lens; though I've been lusting for the Ultron 50/2 for some time. Nice advantage is that it folds into itself ("barn doors"), making it very pocketable. It's also very quiet and the plunger film advance is very easy and discreet. Don't imagine the viewfinder is as bright as the Vito B though.

Thanks for your reply and hint for the Vitessa. I was allways wondering whats the use of the pole on top of the camera? But anyways i think i will keep my eyes open for such a model.
Does anyone know how the viewfinder of the Zeiss Ikon Contina Ic compares with the Voigtländer one? They look quite similar.
Are there more cameras from Zeiss Ikon with the same Viewfinder like the Contina Ic?

If you consider the Prominent, why not the Vito III : same body but with fixed Ultron, easier to hold and lighter, folding. It was considered scarce and pricey, but you can find one regularly on ebay (just bought one for EUR160).
