Their early digital cameras, in the '90s, were groundbreaking and moved professional film users into digital.

Well, seems that I'm placing that film order I had stored in my B&H cart some days ago... and will remove the Fuji products this time. Let's help them out and buy their stuff!

I hope they can do it............

However, the firm has moved to reassure film photographers. "Kodak's continuing consumer products and services will include the traditional film capture and photographic paper business, which continues to provide high-quality and innovative products and solutions to consumers, photographers, retailers, photofinishers and professional labs," it says in a statement.

Good luck Kodak!

Kodak is the ONLY company that gave me 10 rolls of expired, but FREE Portra 160nc as well as 1 FREE roll of the new Ektar 100 film. I hope the best for Kodak. They should buy a sponsorship here on RFF.🙂

Kodak (very briefly) had a great line-up of consumer digicams, too, when they purchased the Chinon plant in Japan and renewed their lens partnership with Schneider. But then they let their bean counters convince them to outsource it all, and their digicams became trivial garbage...

Got my 70 rolls of (tri-x) Arista Premium 400 from Freestyle today. Ordered a couple days ago. After duty, delivery it's $3.57/roll. $1 more than a year ago, but still worth it. But I do have to buy less.

The guy in BJP has it right -- people want film from Kodak, not any of the other stuff.

+1.

I will continue to support Kodak by buying my favourite Kodak films, especially Ektachrome E100G and E100VS / Elitechrome 100 ExtraColor (Kodak's best colour films).
And TMY-2, BW 400 CN.

But I will also continue to support Fuji, Ilford, Agfa-Gevaert/Maco and Adox.
We need them all, we have to support them all.

Cheers, Jan
