These look good, Tom. I'll probably get my Konica I cla'd after I get the Konica III back from Greg Weber. Still haven't decided about that IIIa down in Cleveland yet. It's still sitting there for the same asking price with just the one offer. I'm afraid if I do go down there and look at it, I'll buy it. 🙂

Thanks , the flight museum is my go to for testing new cameras , low light and bright light so it test the full exposure range of the camera. And the subject matter is always nice and colorful.

It surprises me there is not more discussion about these wonderfully made little Rangefinder cameras. I am really impressed with both the build quality and image quality that ones able to get out of these for what little they cost . I would much rather have one of these than the all the yashica g's Gs's Gsn I have . I feel a sale coming on .

I have been using a Konica III for 13 years, and continue to be impressed by the Lens, and the 'tank-like' build of the camera. It has a wonderful heft and feel of quality. It is clear that the company was out to challenge both other Japanese manufacturers and the Germans on both optical and build quality. If a 48mm fixed lens meets your needs, the kit is simple; viewfinder is big and bright. The only accessory I use is a CV shoe-mount meter. My only complaint is the fifties-era coupled EV system. I've heard it can be disabled, but with both my Hasselblad and Voigtlander Vitessa using the system, I've got used to it.

Alfasud, what a nice specimen . Your are correct, they were out to compete with the best and may have surpassed them. as far as I am concerned they are at the top of the list .
