Morocco..another glimpse.

Great set of photos from Morocco.

I went to Tangiers / Meknes / Chefchaouen 20+ years ago and enjoyed it all (except for Tangiers which I thought was an awful place).

My wife and I have just got back from a week in Marrakesh / Essauoira. Probably the wrong time of year to go as it is ridiculously hot at 46-50 degrees celsius at midday. However, an interesting place and worth the visit. Sadly, the locals in Marrakesh are generally very anti street photography, so I just had to tough it out.

I posted a couple of shots in the gallery if you're interested.....

Regards. Paul.

Welcome back Paul.

Hey great photos!

I have a question though - I am looking to go to Morroco in February as it will be my wife and I's honeymoon. Is february a good time to go or will it be too cold?

Thanks!

Depends where you want to go. But not compared to parts of Europe.

The Atlas mountains will be cold..even sometimes snowbound.
Marrakesh, the western coastal towns, Tangiers, would be ideal time to visit. Chilly and maybe windy in Essouira like.

Best regards.

Hiya Faris.

Here's a link to my photos. I'm not sure if this is the best way to direct you but hope it works....

Yes, this looks like one of the places we visited. The outdoor spaces were, generally speaking, less intense than the souks themselves. It's a pity the traders are so aggressive as, if they'd let you browse and mark up a fair "fixed" price from the outset, I'm sure they'd sell a lot more of their tut to us tourists....:D

Incidentally, all of the people we spoke to recommended March and April as the best months to visit Marrakesh as it's nowhere near as hot but, as it's spring, the flowers are out and it's warm enough for shirt sleeves and little need to take a jumper or jacket.
