motion picture film stock questions

I've read here that Al and Tom and some others use motion picture film stock for their still photography needs. I have no clue about this and am interested as a way of economizing. I'd like a 200 or 400 iso B+W negative film with normal contrast and grain for every day photography, not for any special effects. What film stocks are out there that fit these needs? Also, how is it priced? What lengths does it come in, and do the larger rolls fit into a bulk film loader? Thanks.

Another option Frank is Traffic Surveillance film, which (I think) usually comes in 150 ft rolls. Too big for the loader, so I load in the dark direct to spools. Look for Kodak Hawkeye (Kodak 2485) film. The iso rating is somewhat variable, according to the specs, depending on developer, but I find it shoots best at 250. Specs here

Thanks Chris. How big a difference is there from the results with HP5+? Noticeable? Marginal? None?

I prefer HP5, but the difference is marginal, and I suspect with good photoshop/darkroom technique it would be pretty difficult to tell the difference.

One more sample; this one shot at 400, dev'd in Ilford LC29 1+29 7 min 20C (cheap developer too!). I opened up the shadows and mid-tones a little in Lightroom.
