What's the consensus on using a motorized winder on the M7? I have the 'vit but wonder if the motor winder would be handier. Could hold focus easier without the movement (small as it is). And is it quiet? or relatively so? Anyone know of a used one available? thanx for your help.

Heavy-reasonably quiet (for a winder) and only slightly faster than my right thumb. An old pro once told me if you shoot 5 fps at 1/100 th you get 5 % out of each second. Which means you have 95 % chance of missing the decisive moment. That was food for thought for me - I rarely use drives/winders/bursts.

I've got one that I occassionally use with an M4-P. It's not as loud as my MD12 (Nikon slr motor drive), but it's not very quiet either. The shutter release "bobs" up and down, during exposures which feels odd. It feels almost like too much finger pressure would break the shutter. I've not tried it on my M7. I know someone, who used to hang out here that had two M7's, both with motor drives. She used them primarily for the grip, though.
