Well-known
So I finally got a chance to take my Oly 25 out shooting for 4 days! Photos will be forthcoming. In the process, I ended up giving my Sigma 30 to my girlfriend. It was really hard since I had really grown attached to the modest little lens and came to appreciate the slightly longer normal view. Part of me would have been happy with just sticking with the 30 and not spending the money on the Oly25. The 25 seems quite nice so far, so there are no quality issues in making the move from the one lens to the other... they are both quite nice. The biggest benefit I found was that the farther seperation from my Oly 45 made the two lenses work better together than the 45 did with the 30. Mostly, when I was shooting the 30 I stopped bringing the 45 out with me because I could mostly get by with the 30. It will remain to be seen how well my 17 mates with the 25. In my K.I.S.S. approach to everything, I tend to look for basic 3-lens kits. I have a 14 on the shelf as well, so if the 17 starts feeling too close, I might rotate the 17 out for a while and shoot with the 14+25+45.
I gave the 30 to my girlfriend because I knew she would love it (and she does!) and because that was just way too close to 25.
If things went differently, I could imagine that the Sigma 19+30+60 would be a really great 3-prime kit as well.
At this point, m43 has become a really complete system for prime shooters IMO.
