Hey everyone, experiencing an issue with my MP-240. I was shooting this morning, using live view for once, and developed an issue with the secondary shutter curtain (the black one behind the grey one). Everything seems to be functioning normally, except for the shutter curtain that fires to expose the sensor. It is not retracting to actually take the exposure, resulting in black images. The camera will display in live view and the sensor shows when you put the camera in sensor cleaning mode, so I know that mechanically it works. I am on the latest firmware, have reset the settings, tried multiple batteries, and used multiple SD cards. Has anyone run into anything similar?

Yes I had this with a new M240 back in 2015. Leica replaced the shutter (apparently the error log pointed to a shutter failure) but within weeks of its return it was still playing up. The supplying dealer gave me a new camera when I quoted consumer law.

I own an M-P 240 and had something like this happened a little over a year ago - but only the one time. I rarely use live-view, but after using it one day this issue - or something like it - happened to me. I turned the live view on an off and fired the shutter - and it fired normally. It hasn't happened since (but I've never again used live view and the video function on my camera is disabled).
