MP-3 / À-LA-CARTE 50mm framelines size

Hi i already asked this question in the leica-user-forum but no satisfying answer yet. also i wrote an email to leica customer service, but they didn't get back to me either yet.
so i hope some of you might be able to help me. 🙂

i read that the MP-3 special-edition has the more "accurate" (larger) 50mm framelines (as M2,M3 and M4s used to have).
What about the 50mm frame in the 3-frame or 5-frame à la carte option. Is it larger than the one in the 6-frame-option?
i am about to get rid of the 75mm-frame in my MP and a more accurate 50mm frame would very much justify the cost of this "surgery".
as most of my work is done with a 50mm lens at infinity-focus (city- and landscapes) the standard frameline is really bothering me.

thanks for the hint, but i am pretty sure the frame in those example-images are just photoshopped.

The MP-3 actually has same 50mm frame as used in 0.72x version. Nothing special. Hope it helps.

when the MP-3 came out it was especially mentioned that the frame is corresponding to the full 24x36mm full format.

a lot of info about this can be found on the web:

eg: Just like it was back then: the classic bright line frame set for 35, 50 and 90 mm lenses, corresponding to the full negative format of 24 x 36 mm, the external frame counter, shutter speed dial, image field selector, and rewind release lever all correspond to those of the original MP.

This is untrue. I shoot an MP3 nearly every day and the 50 framelines are different than the stock MP famelines, and different than the a la carte single 50 frameline in my .58 M7. They are most similar to the stock M7 framelines in my .72, with the following difference: the MP3 has wider (longer) solid top line, which is wider than the M7 .72. Sides are about the same as in the stock M7 .72 VF, and the bottom has two short lines that come in from the sides- much like the stock M7. My stock .72 M7 & MP have very different 50mm framelines, with the MP having a solid line across the bottom.

As to accuracy, I've not seen any discrepancies between the cameras as far as accuracy goes.

Actually I do a very similar thing, I use mine on a 0.85x mag MP. 🙂
