Well I now finally have my 2 year old black paint MP. As you may know I have waited since late April for it. I also purchased a Voigtlander 28 mm f1.9 while waiting.

However here are a couple of shots from the first roll of my Nephews baby daughter and mine

and here is another.

Both shot on ilford XP2 developed at a high street lab. I just removed the colour cast in Aperture 2 .Lens 50mm Summicron f2 from 1979.

When I consider that my only reason for buying an MP was pure heart and not head as it were I'm very pleased with how it has turned out. The MP feels just right in my hands. and focusing is wonderful.

I will post a shot of my MP v.soon.

Congratulations. I use my M6/M3 for a lot of kid pictures at church. We have a lot of kids and I have over 100 photos of kids seven years old or less posted in the hall outside their rooms. Even though the Leica is not autofocus, it is small and discreet and the kids don't seem to notice it much. Quiet too as I've gotten a lot of sleeping infants and never awakened one. A bunch of these were done at .7 meters and look great. Joe

There's something special about the simplicity (yet modern) and the solid feel of the MP.

Congrats.... it will serve you well in the many years to come.

Congratulations on the mp & nicely done on the family photos.

I can sort of relate on the "gear at last" part...I had wanted a hasselblad superwide for sooooooo-long, then found one at an incredibly same price & the seller worked with me on "creative financing"...and then it all worked out.
Enjoy !!!!

Take care,

Kenneth
