MP finder upgrade to the M6ttl

For me the MP doesn't make since to me for several reasons: I like/need a meter...........

"New" MP's have a meter. The old 1950-era MP did not have a meter.

my bad, I was unsure, so I checked on Leica's website and their verbose verbiage seemed to imply that it didn't have one. I will refer back to my other reasons then. If I was spending that much I would go for the M7 and enjoy Aperture priority and shutter-speed-in-viewfinder.

Actually, regarding the recent M7 prices I would buy an MP-VF modified M7 with optical DX reader in black-chrome for 1800$ and be done. (... just saying 🙂)

From what I have seen 2k is the minimum for M7's, usually more like 2.5k

Then prices for M7 must have gone up again then, two month ago they were selling for ~ 1800$ and even lower sometimes.

I saw a couple on ebay that went for a little under 2k, $1900 or so. As good as I am sure that the M7 is, at that price there is an emotional roadblock for me as it is about the same price as a used Nikon D700, perhaps the most loved Nikon DSLR ever.
