Greetings,
Does any member know what an MP .85 decorated like an M3 might fetch? Its a custom job that Don did for me a ways back. Its a beautiful thing, but it just sits there unused since I got my M8. Its hard to gauge this kind of thing on ebay to see what the market value might be. I hope this does not come off as an add but just want some opinions before I put it up on the classifieds. If I am in violation of any rules, I apologize and please delete. Thanks

I have had two or three FrankenLeicas myself over the years.

The issue in your case is that the camera does not carry the original serial number. Be assured you will not get back what you have into it if you sell it as is.
If you are planning to sell, it would be better if you have the original topcover put back on it.

Some of us may prefer an MP in the skin of an M3.

I think Tom A. had Shintaro do a custom job where he had an M2 and then swapped out the top plate for an M3 and made a custom MP.
