One thing that I noticed is that some MPs have the M6 ISO selecter ( ISO on bottom, º on top ) and I wonder why.. I saw a couple of adds that state they are rare... is that so ?

Ive seen loads of new models that sport the same ISO selector than the M7 ( minus the exp compensation ). Just wondering, since my new MP has a M6 style ISO selector..

Thought that was something like first batch of MPs have the M6 style, later adopted the M7 style.. but nothing to be rare.. is it ?

Don't know if it's really rare, but many users prefer the M6-style ISO dial for aesthetic &/or ergonomic reasons (I do, over the ISO dial on my M7--it looks better & is harder to move accidentally).

Thinking $. I agree, mine is plasticky but wont budge for anything. Its tough to move deliberately. Thank goodness

They were thinking: "Why did we make so many film speed selectors for the M6? Wtf, lets put them on the MP to get rid of some, we'll just call it rare and we'll sell them anyway."

From what I heard it's exactly as you think, the first batches used the old selectors and later batches use the newer one.
