yes best forum ever! and even when arguing-there is no bad blood...i wish it is just as busy as decade ago - but yes times are changing...

Appreciative but also pragmatic. Stephen maintains this site to promote use of rangefinder cameras and accessories which he sells. Absolutely nothing wrong with that.

If you want to really show your appreciation, buy something from him and his advertisers.

Only feature I’d like to see is automatic resizing of images SO you never get that red “too big” message. About ads.....this is kind of like saying “geez I hope I don’t drop that”. Two minutes later...you drop it. Ads= Money and Everyone wants Money.

or ads not having to do with photography
because I HATE seeing such ads myself.

Likewise I don't ask for donations at RFF
because I HATE being asked for $ just because I visited a site.
To me, just visiting a site is not a reason to give the site money.

I first came across this site in 2008 .
Raids review of 50mm lenses , hooked up with fellow site members here in the UK and through that made some lasting friends .

There is one photography forum I keep coming back to and it is this one. Though I am happy to check out other sites from time to time this is the site which seems to fit me best. You must be doing something very very right.
 
I think apug or rather photrio does a pretty good job too, but I agree that it's very nice here! And yes, I have bought a few things from Stephen. thanks everybody

Thanks for this thread. Stephen, there just aren't enough thanks in this world to express my personal feelings. I am down to two forums. I go to the other less and less often. Here just about every time I am on my computer, whether I post (not all that often anymore) or not. I enjoy this site always.
