MR meter switch cleaning

I've got this Leica MR meter (and am buying another) with a jumpy needle due to intermittant contact in the activation switch. Has anyone here taken one of these meters apart? Do springs and small parts fly out of it when you do?

Not immediately, but if you open it enough, they will.

You might want to read http://www.feuerbacher.net/photo/frame.html?repair/Leicameter/Leicameter.html~Main. It's for the MR4, but the differences shouldn't bee too big. Get some vinegar and some alcohol ready for cleaning the inside. Mine was pretty much mucked up inside.
