i did shoot some shots around the house, and as far as ergonomics go, i think its just as good as the m6. i think maybe the m6 has the slight edge though. also, i thought i'd like A mode...but now that i have it, i find myself going back to manual metering...its amazing how the m6 taught me how to over/under expose depending on how light is falling on the scene. in that sense, yes the m6 has made me more aware of light.
I had to laugh. I went from an M6 to M9 and didn't even realize the M9 had aperture priority. I shot a bunch of photos on manual exposure before wondering what the "A" on the dial was about!
Frankly, I prefer the control of doing it all myself. It gives me built-in exposure compensation for difficult lighting situations.
One thing about the M9 was much less obvious. The screen on the camera back is very inadequate for judging whether you have correct exposure. I was underexposing my shots quite a bit before I dialed a better awareness of the histogram vs blown highlights. I worked through this by observing how the auto exposure in ACR was always boosting my exposure.
The problem of underexposure on a digital camera is noisy shadows. The newer CMOS sensors like on the K5 and D7000 have tremendous dynamic range. I assume the M10 will use one of these newer sensors.
