Multicoated Summar?

Sharpness from corner to corner, zero distortion and perfect contrast (not too much, but not too little), what do you want more from a lens?

A few years ago Malcolm Taylor quoted me something like £65 a surface to recoat a 3.5cm F3.5 Summaron . . . .

Phew! Maybe I'm wrong. But bear in mind that Malcolm is NOT a specialist lens repairer. It might be quite a bit cheaper to go directly to someone who strips and recoats lenses. I always used Balham, but alas they're gone.
